Regarding her ex-husband Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao said, “It’s very strange that we have never really fought.”

<p>Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao were married in 2005 and divorced in 2021. In a recent interview, Kiran discussed her comeback movie, Laapataa Ladies, which hits theaters on March 1. She also spoke candidly about her life after Aamir’s divorce. The actress said that even now, since they share parenting of their son Azad, she and her ex-husband get along well.</p>

<p><strong>“We argue, but we never get into heated arguments.” </strong><br />
Kiran Rao said, “Anyone who is married will tell you marriage has its challenges,” when questioned about working with Aamir after their divorce. His production company, Aamir Khan Productions, has supported her most recent film. Of course, I’ve had my fair share of arguments, but we’ve worked things out. However, it’s funny to say that Aamir and I have never truly fought. Although we sometimes argue, we seldom get into heated arguments.”</p>
<p><strong>“I never noticed any turbulence.” </strong><br />
“It’s also because I think we (herself and Aamir) respect each other a lot,” Kiran said. We merely need to find the perfect argument to persuade the other person or to be persuaded ourselves because we understand each other quite well. That’s how our relationship is; none of us is too proud to agree (with each other). And one of the benefits of being in this marriage is that. We never experienced the type of turmoil that many individuals experience. We have had our fair share of highs and lows, but nothing even remotely hostile.”</p>
<p>Kiran Rao made headlines recently when she responded to remarks made by Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga about Aamir Khan’s previous movies. She gave Aamir acclaim for taking responsibility and offering an apology for his previous “problematic” work.</p>
