Have you ever had a song stuck in your brain and been unable to remember the words or title? You can get restless due to this frustration. Google has expanded the humming search feature available to Android users to include YouTube, enabling users to locate songs even in situations when they are unable to recall exact specifics.

A new search feature has been introduced to YouTube Music to make it easier for users to locate music on the app. In addition to the current “Voice” bar, a new “Song” tab will show up when you use the search feature, claims 9to5Google. Users of Android devices may now use the app to play, sing, or even hum along with songs. The article claims that YouTube is matching the music to the original soundtrack using artificial intelligence (AI).

According to Gadgets360, a number of Reddit users have also spotted the function, and one of them has confirmed that it is present on iOS. This implies that the functionality is being pushed out to applications for iOS and Android at the same time. But because a lot of people still haven’t been able to utilize the function, it’s thought that a more extensive rollout is either still in the works or is happening gradually and will take a few days to reach everyone.

Using the “Hum-to-Search” feature for music on YouTube, users must click the search sign in the top right corner to use the newly introduced search function.

Users may also utilize the dedicated search button that is located next to the voice search option.

Now, users have to decide whether to look for music.

For the next ten to fifteen seconds, they could whistle, hum, or sing the song.

After finishing, YouTube Music will produce possible matches.

Additionally, Android users of the YouTube app may create a new screen with tabs labeled “Voice” and “Song” by simply selecting the microphone icon in the search bar. While users may do spoken searches using the voice tab, they can also hum, play, or sing a song so that an AI can identify if they are singing the same song as the original.

YouTube Premium, a premium membership program, gained 10 more countries last week. There are 100 countries where the paid service is offered, and they include Libya, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Réunion, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.
